Winner "Best English Language Bulletin" in District 3450, 2001/2002

And I'm off again .......

... this time to Beijing but, hopefully, I'll be back in time for lunch on Wednesday, so don't talk about me while I'm gone.

Although I missed it, my spies tell me that the official visit to KGM by our old mate DG Gloria Chan (pictured left), went smoothly and she graciously decided not to expel KGM from Rotary. Of course we suspect this serious oversight was due to the fact that our Fearless Leader President Nanu "Nanu" Lachman spiked her drink during cocktails. Wicked man.

Anyway, don't forget we have two special events this week the first being the Gala Premiere of the movie Tuxedo tonight (Monday), in aid of the fund-raising efforts for the District project to immunise 1 million kids in China against Hepatitis B.

The second special event is the Vocational Service Seminar which will be held on Tuesday. More information is available under "District 3450 News" below.

Y'all be good while I'm gone now, y'hear.

The Phantom

Mr. Chong graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1981, and obtained a Masters degree in Information Systems from the London School of Economics in 1985.

For the past 25 years, Mr. Chong has been active in the self-help movement of the blind, the disability rights movement in Hong Kong and the Asia region.  He was, in a private capacity, President of the Hong Kong Blind Union, and he served as Vice-President of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Blind Union.

Mr. Chong serves on several advisory committees to the Hong Kong Government, namely the Rehabilitation Advisory Committee, and he chairs the Committee on Integrated Education.  He received the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award in 1991 and the MBE award in 1995 for community service..

Often when I'm on the Internet looking for, er, um, biology websites, I sometimes inadvertently arrive at a pornographic or other websites, which either expand to fill my entire computer screen (so I can't see the "X" close button), or it repeatedly opens lots of annoying new windows, and I can't seem to close them. What should I do? Yours, Deep Throat.
